Vibration and control of high-rise base-isolated structures considering high-order effects

Abstract

In order to study the high-order effect of high-rise foundation isolation structure and its control method, the working mechanism of high-order effect of high-rise foundation isolation structure is revealed. Seismic shaking table test was carried out based on a 1/15 scaled practical project, and a finite element model was established. The acceleration and displacement responses were obtained by time history analysis method. The effectiveness of the finite element model was verified by comparing the analysis results with the test data. The results show that, under certain conditions, the higher part of the high-rise foundation isolation structure may produce obvious high-order effect, and the mutation layer is basically located at the place where the mass ratio of the higher part to the total mass of the structure is about 1/5. Under action of 8 dagree rare earthquakes, the acceleration amplification coefficient at the top of the structure is larger than 2, and the interlayer displacement angle near the mutation layer is larger than 1/100. Both the proposed base-TMD hybrid isolation scheme and the base-floor hybrid isolation scheme can effectively solve the high-order effect of the high-rise foundation isolation structure, among which the vibration control effect of the base-TMD hybrid isolation scheme can reach about 50%. The optimal isolation effect of base-layer mixed isolation scheme is close to 50%.
